58 - Packard Bell Limited Warranty
D.CHARGES
If you cause Packard Bell to start the repair of a Product otherwise covered under this Limited Warranty and,
Packard Bell reasonably determines that the Product is not defective and that the problem giving rise to your
service call was the result of your lacking ability to use the Product, the installation of incompatible software
by a party other than Packard Bell, computer viruses, and the like, Packard Bell will charge you a flat fee of ZAR
500 for any Fetch-Repair & Return or Carry-In service call, and a flat fee of ZAR 500 for any On-Site service call.
1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY REFERENCE TABLE
The content of the present limited guarantee should not compromise the legal guarantee of the consumer
as granted by his national laws.

LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY
A. COVERAGE OF LIMITED WARRANTY
All Packard Bell Notebook hardware products you purchased from any Packard Bell Authorized Distributors,
Resellers and Retailers (Authorized Vendors) in the Middle East, Africa Region (excluding SADC countries)
shall be warranted as follows;
1) System Warranty
(i) Warranty Statement
Packard Bell Computer (M.E.) Limited warrants the Packard Bell hardware products (excluding Expendable
Parts) described in this Warranty Booklet that are purchased from Packard Bell or an Authorized Vendor in the
coverage area, against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for the warranty periods
defined in the Warranty Card.
It is the responsibility of the customers to refuse to accept delivery of any Packard Bell product sold as new
when the Packard Bell security seal is broken and notify the seller accordingly. By accepting a Packard Bell
product with a broken seal, the customer acknowledges the warranty entitlement of such unit will be
different (reduced) vs. the standard Terms and Conditions associated to a sale of a new Packard Bell product.
Details of the warranty are set forth in the remaining sections.
(ii) Warranty Period
The warranty period commences on the date of purchase.
(iii) Warranty Identification
The sales receipt or your purchase invoice showing the date of purchase of Packard Bell Product and duly
filled Warranty Instructions, showing the serial number and date of purchase of Packard Bell Product, is the
proof of the date of purchase. This Limited Warranty extends beyond the original purchaser to any lawful
successor in interest, provided, however, that anyone claiming under this warranty must, upon request,
produce the original purchase invoice to be entitled to warranty services
(iv) Service Scope
Within the warranty period, Packard Bell Authorised Service Provider (ASP) will perform repair or replace-
ment of defects in workmanship or parts covered by this warranty in the Coverage area.
2) Parts & Components Limited Warranty
All exchanged parts and products replaced under warranty service will become the property of Packard
Bell. Packard Bell reserves the right to replace defective parts with any serviceable used parts that meet the
performance specifications of new parts.

(1) Fetch-Repair & Return
Packard Bell will collect the unit from the customer, and after the
repair is complete, Packard Bell ships the unit back to the customer.
(2)Carry-in:
Customer brings the unit to an Packard Bell Authorized Service
Provider. After the repair is complete, customer picks the unit up.
